Pete, painting colorbond is a bastard depending on the actual orig powder mix, lot of times the paint just starts to bubble and flake/lift. .. you can etch primer it then paint but that's expensive. ..
,
Is colour actually faded/gone or is it just white chalky over the top? .. if so..

Best result for low price I've seen is floor cleaner and scrub/scourer pads (the green ones you use for non stick cookware) ... or if you have access to air comp and air power buffer/grinder type unit, get a larger sheet of the green stuff and make a disc of it instead of the buffer cloth, still using floor cleaner....

Then when all the whitish gunk is gone and you not sick of the process... give it a spray coat of (cheap) urethane car polish (nu finish 2001 is reasonable. .. bright green bottle) and a quick wipe down... ideally you coat it again every year or so but depends on your sq mtr total and care factor :thumb:

Cheers Janx, got it all scrubbed down with sugar soap yesterday and a whole lot of the colour just came straight off along with years of dirt... at this stage I think we'll scrub it down as best we can and give it a coat of paint so I can call it done, then if it starts to peel I can scrub it back some more and go again in 12 months time... got just over a week 'til I'm back at work so I wanna get the thing done  :D

But now for the real exciting stuff... paid a visit to a couple of mates yesterday and Kat Korner in the garage now looks like this:

I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

found a 1938 1 pfennig nazi germany. and a 1923 tunisian franc as well as a uk new pence. thought about liquidating some of these, but the nazi pfennig came over with my great grandfather he came over just prior to ww2. as 2nd mate on queen mary. so that one stays. the imperial pfennigs im not sure. he was a young man in germany at that point.

You are old Pete! ... but the coins are olderer!

peteGS

Damn I hate it when you're right!!!!

Shed doors are just about done, had a short storm last night... need to sort drainage on the high side... was quite wet inside when I checked it last night. I knew that would be an issue, just haven't gotten around to putting a gutter in there yet. Water runs down the gap between the slab and brick wall and has no place to go except in the shed, a bit of gutter will solve that  :thumb:

a gutter topside and a french drain on the perimeter. will solve this. also consider sealing the seams ( silicone?)
