Heres me on my CBR last weekend at the WMRRA Round 3 race. Mixed pictures from both Saturday and Sunday.

This is my CBR after I painted it and did a bunch of other work! Been a while since I have updated this thread!!

Enjoy!

And my favorite yet!

I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

Thanks guys! Lots of hard work, but finally racing!

It's like the best thing ever. I also have videos from every round if you guys are interested.

Man,

Overdue for an update. Patrick would be angry! I sure have been missing him a lot lately! Hard to find someone with as much passion as he had for motorcycles. He was always down to ride or wrench...

Anyways,

I have gone on to bigger and better bikes than the Honda, for racing that is! I still have it and have since turned it back into my street bike again. Heres some pictures of her and my new 2008 Yamaha R6 for racing this season. I should start a build thread on the r6, cause I have literally put thousands into it since these photos were taken lol.

Her last time in a race under my ownership down in Portland!

The Honda with her new sexier sister on the last track day of 2015.

The Honda's new street trim. Drove all the way down to Oregon to get it!

And some sneak peaks of the goodies I have added to the R6 so far. Let me know if you guys are interested and I will start a build thread here and document my progress and race pictures/videos from this year.

I'm interested.  For instance what is that angled black thing on the right hand grip, is that part of a hand guard?  Or a slider or a mount for a mirror?  I can't quite make out what I'm looking at.

Also that asv lever looks real nice!

Haha I will start a new build thread for it when I get a chance. Will have to do lots of back tracking with my posts!

And thanks!

Thanks bro!

And that is a brake lever guard (vortex, although many brands make them), so when you are elbowing it out or getting close with a fellow racer they do not touch your brake lever and cause a crash. There not used on street bikes, so thats probably why you have never seen one.

Cool!  Can you get fouled for elbowing someone too hard on a race track?

Yea, It depends on your organization, but in most organizations if you purposefully make someone crash you will be penalized for sure.

I've only ever worked on 1 R6.. and it was just fixing an exhaust hanger on a custom slip-on.

how's getting to all the bits and pieces on the engine?

It is very simple! So far it seems as if the Honda is more difficult. One example I can think of is the airbox. On the Honda you have to remove like, 20 bolts, the airfilter, the velocity stacks, and then pull the lower air box out. On the r6 there is like 10 bolts and you pull the top off, then like 6 bolts and you pull the bottom out. the air filter just snaps into and out of place!

The newer the bikes.. the more things are jammed in tight spaces.. as far as new"er" bikes go. the 636 has been the easiest to work on and all ducatis are just comical jokes.. their like hot girlfriends, fun to look at an touch, but don't ask them to do anything.

GS only requires 6 bolts to get to the air filter. and if you're me, you can do the "aftermarket air filter 2 screw losedelete mod" bringing the total down to four. lmao

Aint that the truth! Sometimes I wish things were still as simple as the old GS! Haha
