Hello, I've recently discovered a crack in the bottom of my fuel bowl. I'm sure JB Weld or something close will seal it, but will take away the ability to check the floats. And I would like a more permanent solution.
I see a lot of later-model carbs available on Ebay, etc.

Can someone advise what year carbs might work on an '89 gs500e?

Up to 1999 will be a direct swap with no problems. After that, you'll need the throttle assembly, different choke cable, etc.
