Hey now!

Speedometer Cable snapped inside the housing ( I was able to pull the cable out of the housing when I disconnected the cable to the cluster).

My question is how the heck do I remove the tire end? There is only 1 screw there and nothing wants to move. Am I only suppose to pull on the rubber hosing and use some elbow grease? Or is there something that I'm not seeing that's preventing the cable housing to come out?

Thank you in advance.

Gday mate, if there is just a single screw in the side of where the cable goes into the speedo drive (wheel side) you simply have to unscrew that and give the cable housing a good firm pull. There will be a bit of resistance as the the cable is sealed in the housing with an oring.
Ill attach a picture to ensure you have the same type of cable as my bike as there are 2 types for the GS500, Goodluck

THANKS! There are days where I can't tell if I am just that weak or I'm doing it wrong.

I'm scared for life after breaking something because I thought all I had to do was pull really hard.

Thank you for the confirmation!
