Hey Pete this might make you laugh. In reality its part of my prosthesis. But in this pic it represents mama cat after weaning the kittens.

heh i realised i need to change my avatar. ive had it since his passing. ( addy) :"(. but i cannot i feel change it to something without being a tribute to him. i finally figured out the one ill use. ive got a piston of his and a pair of his gloves. i can use that instead of his picture. so people wont have to be reminded of that day. i still miss him dearly. he was a good man. :")

Wow this thread went dead real quick!! That means I win right?  :flipoff:

Got presents in the mail yesterday, love getting those red and white labelled bags!!

And got my inlet fan in the shed sorted... fly screen on the outside and air con filter material on the inside to keep the crap out.

sorry lol ended up talking about cats when there was a cat thread for that lol. ive a bad habit of threadjackking. course it wasnt really threadjacking, but anyhoo, have you considered an air exchanger at some point? or after the kit-kat build would it not really be necessary?

Hahaha not quite Janxy... those brake parts aren't cheap... but compared with modern 6 pot calipers etc. they're very cheap! One of the other fellas has 6 pots on his resto mod Kat and he mentioned a price for a single caliper rebuild... after I got up off the floor again I'm glad I'm staying stock  :o

Yama, this is LPW... there is no thread jacking  :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

I'm building a recirculation box that will hopefully filter out the overspray and fumes, so between that and the inlet fan hopefully it should be all good  :thumb:

Just waiting on an old washing machine motor to arrive at the moment so I can set up the belt driven fan that will keep all the (potentially explosive) fumes away from the motor.

i know, but we had a well established cat thread already lol. but wth your cats are part of the kat ( pun intended?) build story. had a rough weekend. after church, went to lady friends house, played legos with her son after lunch. but i popped my RIGHT knee on the medial ( inside)   and back side of it. that was sunday, it all but quit hurting. now today i sit down and kapow there it goes again. i feel a grinding popping noise. since im sans insurance, hoping i can hold off getting it looked at until my ortho appointment on friday. and say " since were here could you check this one out now?. lol. this is getting old. i try to get my cat to pull an impromptu shiatsu massage on this knee. but he wont. course 18lbs of cat/claws maybe not such a wise idea Eh?.

Oooh lady friend hey? Yama gettin' the moves on??  :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Clip claws, make cat happy, starts purring and kneading paws, instant massage therapist  :thumb: :thumb:

Maybe it's just a matter of that knee getting used to the prosthetic on the other one? Weight distribution and all that?

Just my amateur guess here.... But your prosthetic is a wee bit too long for your comfort or current "being used to it" level

OR

You need a sports shoe on your right foot with higher arch/heel support to correct a current pronation issue

Just my thoughts!  :thumb:

bill shows 3 weeks later Eh?. i hope leg length is the cause. my left leg with the prosthetic is bent. i.e. at the knee/stump.   been like that since procedure.  since im my own physical therapist, i have to work on straightening it out. ( no ins. since jan 1. i figure with usage leg will straighten itself out. as this happens, it will also shorten. cause with angle it was set up with right one being straight. BUT i can bring it to prosthetist to have it adjusted without charge. :)

No doctor me!! ... I'm just remembering how and what my physios have said when I've blown out medial and anterior knee ligaments over the years....

Yours would have to be a most problematic case Yama because you have to learn to move slightly differently also! ... and I reckon overall you are doing a champion job!  :thumb:

Also... consider it this way.... cobblers of old days and the modern shoe fixit stalls in the malls... do frequent repairs to heels on ladies shoes , men's business shoes and other formal shoes ... some of the heel replacements are really thin! ..but without them the shoe I should difficult to walk in.. causes ankle and knee pain ... can ruin the comfort of an otherwise fantastic piece of footwear!

Podiatrist would also be someone to look up to see what solutions could be offered. Feet and legs keep your ass from dragging on the ground all day!! .. it's important to keep them cruising as level and comfy as possible!

peteGS

Yes indeed... if your hips aren't level your body would want to compensate by having you walk funny I would think... in your case I reckon this would be majorly amplified.
