Yama, that's mad! I don't know what normal levels are of course but sounds pretty bad to be out of it for 24 hours... glad to hear you're back now  :thumb: :thumb:

ill give you a breakdown of levels. btw ive been as low as 14. (death is near zero but in the teens death can come easy)
anyhoo reference or normal range is 80 to 120. ( feel fine)
120 to 200 ( still feel fine mostly)
200to 300  (start feeling rather foul borderline flu feeling.)
300 to500 (feeling foul now but functional i.e. flu feeling)
500 to 700 ( now sh*t happens. bad flu feeling, drinking constantly
700+to 1000         (hit er soon)
1000+        (death is near if not at hosp. death sstill possible  but hosp. staff usually can reverse this. coma is possible (explains that 18-20 unaccounted hours.)
plan on spendding a few days at the hosp. bed and breakfast. btw mr foley and his catheters usually visit :(

on the flipside usually nastier and more violent (although the ultra hhigh was violent this time (1st time that happened)
anyhoo @ 70 to 60 gettin hungry as well as thirsty (like high one)
60 to 50 all the above plus shaky plus starting to sweat. even on a 0c day
50 to 40 above more sweat plus zoning out/ starting to anyways. THIS IS WHERE it starts to get bad.
40 to 30 above, drenched in sweat regarrdless of temp. you ask this person a question any question, they might answer simply ok, staggering like a drunkard.
30 to 20 semi conscious, plus  usually pissing allover themselves. do NOT try to feed them something. could choke. plus we (diabetics) have no concept of pain at this point, and usually fight back. a glucagon shot is safest bet. IF you can land the shot. ;). EMS usually can theres more than 1 of them. plus usually a cop.
20 south all the above but mostly unconscious.
and well 0 is dead. i did have one show up as 14. via lab. meter wouldnt display it.

Holy crap, Aaron! I'm diabetic, but I can't imagine having the blood level you had. Did the nurse ever figure out what you were talking about with the red??? Also....how did you see the thong (and color) through scrubs?? They usually cover everything so well???

And why do you have to pay for this bill for this when you're disabled?? I know I'm very behind with what's going on and you may have explained all this earlier, so forgive me if I'm obtuse....but you're disabled! You shouldn't have to send $10 for ANY medical treatments!!!!!!!

How are you doing now? Have you regained some balance? Do you know what caused this major blood-sugar flux?

Love,
pandy

Perhaps there are "special" scrubs that allow docs and kewt young patients such as yourself to be able to have something more pleasant than hospital stuffz to think about while you're in the hospital. Heck, I'd have been looking at that red butt floss, too!!!  :woohoo:

You not drinking a lot of diet soda lately Yama? Saw a thing other day about if diet soda with aspartame gets hot/warm in transport then the aspartame can change and start forming methanol (another process in there also?) enough consumption can then cause methanol poisoning? .. Not sure if that could also affect sugar levels..  I'll try find the article again.

yamahonkawazuki

no diiet soda. cept in the hosp. ( diet coke)
but at home i do drink mio ( its an energy drink.) but not to excess. usually just a diet ( aspartame) kool-aid.
btw got my paws on a gas scooter. i get the thing going, baffix my knee pad may try either today or tomorrow, and take it for a spin. id have to do it right, because if it quits, doing  the walk of shame, in my case is not an option. but hoping to test ride either today or tomorrow.

At least they remembered to cath' ya, Aaron. I had major emergency abdominal surgery (WAAAAAAY open), and they freakin' FORGOT to cath me in the operating room. Had to GET UP OUT OF MY BED a few hours after that surgery. That's all that cursing you heard that night all the way from Cali to TN that night!  :technical: :technical: :technical:  :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: to that nurse!  :icon_mrgreen:

P.S. I use the little electric scooters at the grocery stores.....LOVE those thangz!  :icon_lol:

The 450's been quite rich at part throttle for a while, so I removed the shim to drop the needles to the middle slot and gave the carbs a balance while I was at it.

Both plugs were a bit on the dark side but the left obviously more so than the right.

And then there was the lazy Sunday afternoon  :thumb: :D

..  Hmmm maybe...  "And on the seventh day he ended his work and rested" .... Its a bit ambiguous!! ... Theres semantic room there for a couple hours in the morning, maybe some final touches on the paint or perhaps tidy the worksite and hose the concrete down? ... Then pack everything up and hand the keys over to the agent! ... Being a Sunday tbough, hope it was properly paid on penalty rates!!

back in the day, had a great job. regardless of weekly hours. err weekday hourrs. weekends paid time and a half and holidays paid double. but no if a holiday fell on a weekend, you wouldnt get 3.5x time. just the double. but still 10hrs on a weekend day, was the equivalent of 20 during week. ALSO during week, if you werent scheduled to work, but were asked to come in, you got 1.5x i kinda missed that job.

That'd be nice... I'm just on salary... any calls at 2am results in time off in lieu... at 1.5x but still no extra $$$. I do get an on call allowance but that's just to be available to answer the phone and fix whatever is broken, time in lieu for the actual time it takes to do whatever needs to be done.

Having said that, on a busy week with lots of late night calls the time off is good.

Now of course I've had a promotion to more of a team leader but I haven't seen my PD yet... it's a funny world at the moment...
