Gotta say these Orientals and Siamese are great with the fur... so much less to worry about than the Birmans!!! Still love my old Birmans though, they're all great  :thumb: :thumb:

Now the big news....

Haha yep pretty much my reaction exactly ShowBiz  :icon_mrgreen:

Can't wait to get stuck into tearing the roller down now as everything will be pretty much a step towards having a completed roller then once the frame has been powder coated  :thumb: :thumb:

Geeez Janxy! I clicked on that link... bad bad bad move... ugh!  :icon_razz: :flipoff:

And yes, Kats are certainly reminiscent of the Battlestar Galactica bikes! Minus the flying bit of course... and yes we're talking about the one and only true Battlestar Galactica here, not the dodgy re-make which just doesn't work at all...

I also got the roller dismantled yesterday and the footpeg rubbers removed so I can paint the brackets now too. Gettin' some momentum going here!!

Tried to find a funny gif with someone with one strong leg... but no luck... just use your imagination  :icon_razz:

Gotta clean the house... then it should be seat pick up time!
lol 1 strong leg lol. My right one erm really my ONLY one,  has bulked up from this hopping. Double clutching a commercial truck is fun  :technical:, this I remember.. Now at urgent care place having b right forearm examined. Can't figure that one out lol. Pete,  that black paint you used, can it withstand high heat? (Calipers mainly) looking good thusfar.

Haha nice work Janxy!!

Yama... good luck with the arm! And I have a mate who has used the paint with great success on calipers so I'd say yes at this point  :thumb:

Ooooo that DOES look like a forking good time right there!!

I remember when I had a spare set of forks to take apart and mess with. Forks were and still kinda are intimidating to me... and it's much more fun and less stress when you have some to mess around with at leisure.

Ive got a extra motor ... Sitting in the shed, waiting waiting for one day when i have time to mess with leisure!.... Sigh

I don't pretend to understand forks but I'm happy enough as long as I can dismantle them and put them back together properly :D

A spare motor Janxy? Sounds like time for some fun!!

And I got a free set of headers in the post the other day that look like they'll fit nicely and aren't in too bad shape at all. Gotta finish sitting the motor in properly today and get it up on some bricks to see for sure though, pic's to follow of course!

I'll also be pulling all my various bicycle bits and pieces out to photograph so they can get sold to fund the powder coating  :thumb:

Bicycle bits? What sort of bicycles? If its older bmx or old school school dragster type then i have a couple mates who are very likely customers!! :thumb:

Yes i have toyed with various project ideas for the spare donk,  but mainly got it as a learning tool for maintenance. An engine sitting on a bench is a lot easier to fiddle/inspect to see how to do stuff!

Nah not BMX or dragster, Malvern Star and Sturmey Archer stuff plus some other vintage rims etc. All from '39 through to the '60's.

New headers test fitted... just touching a couple of fins on the sump cover  :technical:

However I don't think it's a no go, I think I could set the rear mount up to hold them down off the sump cover, and worst case I can trim a couple of mm's off the fins without compromising cooling.

And clean but not yet shiny swingarm and fork lowers... not going to polish as such but maybe a bit of a cut and buff to get the 30+ years of age out of them...

Damn... I've always liked the look of those 4 pipes like that on bikes... so mean !!!

Well... it does need a few more things yet... like a running engine, wheels, forks, brakes etc. and a bit extra at the rear to avoid unwarranted attention... and a coat of paint or two... but yes I agree  :icon_mrgreen:
