kinda like what i have to do with the battlecow.  front hardware, far too short. had to get longer bolts to safely clear frame. plus had to make use of an sae hex key since hex key shipped didnt fit. but other than that all is well. going to acquire a long allen socket for a tool kit. so if the need arises i can tighten engine to mount.
the unused or unusable bolts ill keep for spares for something. lol.

Something tells me the battlecow may take a little less effort to get done than the peteKat  ;)

hoping ;). have to go to ace  hardware. in order to get some threaded rod and nuts to build an extended axle. going for i think the size of the centre of the wheel its a hair larger than the threaded part. but just go threaded all the way @ that size. WHICH will necessitate me widening the axle holes on frame MAYBE a half mm. and same on supports. shooting pics shortly. anyhoo if one is curious, pick up a 3/8 socket extension. on the shaft it is the exact needed diameter. it fits through the bearings with no play.

If you have a machine shop locally they can probably thread something for you...

Thought of this. Using a 10"socket extension. But at amazon mart can get a 320mm length 8mm threaded rod for 12.49 plus shipping. Going to try that idea first. Will acquire the extension for later use at a pawnshop.

Do it!!! Highly appropriate, especially for the high speed run... need some serious testicular fortitude to do that!

If things go to plan today I should have most of my electrical components mounted properly on the Kat so I can get serious about the harness rather than just laying some electrical cable on the frame.

ive come up with another drive setup for the hard tired scooter. this one is battery operated. going to try to patent both. ej as well as myself and anybodyinvolved with ideas or supplies etc will be listed on patent application. going to try and make both bolt on as much as possible. i.e. a kit if you will.

Time for some electrickery on the Kat... I need to steal the R/R off the 450 for 10 minutes at some point to drill mounting holes so it can go underneath the tray.

Me think's you're gonna' be bored shitless once that Kat project is finally completed.  :icon_mrgreen:

Me hopes I'll be riding said Kat far too much to get bored  :icon_mrgreen:

Plus the 450 needs some serious lovin'... I'm thinkin' get a 500 motor, go a bit oversize, rearsets so I can use the stock 500 shift pattern (reverse of the 450 gearbox), then pop it back in with the 450 head so I can keep the same pipes.

That plus a cosmetic tidy up should keep her happy for quite some time  :thumb:

But only after the Kat is on the road and run in, don't want the 450 off the road for too long as I don't want the Kat to become a daily rider.
