Oh dear  :dunno_white: :icon_lol:

While it's way too early I decided I should find the invoice and import approval for the Kat just to be 100% sure I have the necessary paperwork when it's time to register her.

Turns out it was purchased 2 years and 2 days ago... I really need to get moving!!

Must get some stuff done today  :2guns:

And the new very comfy solo seat for the 450, pillion area is hollow and contains my spare clutch cable, bungey cords, and tools  :thumb:

Nice Yama!

And yep Showbiz... that frame... it's actually gotten quite hard to work on it because... well... I keep stopping just to look and imagine... then I have to kick myself into gear because that doesn't help get her finished

If I had a motor in there last night I could've actually hit the button and fired her up as I got the right switch block connected.

Ignoring the dash which won't be purchased for a while yet, all that's left now is to terminate the oil pressure switch and neutral sensor and the rear lighting/indicators. Once that's done it's just a matter of tidying and finalising runs and bundling the harness together ready to wrap.  :thumb:

Oh, nearly forgot there's still the horn and USB charger to be terminated yet although the USB charger will have to wait until after I get a little compartment sorted for under the pillion area.

Nice work!! Keen to see the vid  :thumb:

All the Kat lights work as they should, very close to done with the harness aside from the dash... tried to get a video but not enough room to do it properly in the shed so will get one on Sunday so I can also do a sound test on the horn and make sure the tail light is bright enough in the sun.

I saw that same pair on the Groms ahead of me the other day, just kept my distance... psycho's! They certainly go ok... until they hit a big hill...

I think my centre stand on the Kat may not be a Kat stand... it's quite floppy and doesn't seem to sit even close to horizontal so I got a brand new spring for it yesterday which I put on last night. It's better, but still doesn't seem right. Going to have to look closer on the weekend when I can get it out of the shed and see what the deal is. I suspect it's either hunt for a slightly shorter spring or I gotta find a proper Kat stand... not sure what will be more difficult...

Well you can always do the suicide shift and mount the clutch lever on the suicide shifter... not for the feint hearted though!!

Avoid the Grom and think "Chinese"!
Most Chink Scooters are automatic (variator). That would certainly simplify things for you. :thumb:

This might be best...
And at 150cc you'll most likely live a lot longer than riding that widow-maker you running now.  :icon_mrgreen:

Gotta be Suzuki, only way to go!  :thumb:

First real bit of fun riding on the 450 with the new seat yesterday, lovin' it! So glad I got that done. Also the first real ride after bumping up the rear damping to match the stiffer front, and also much better  :woohoo:

Today must be Kat day, must get some more stuff done.

I occasionally go the the international motorcycle show in January when it's in Manhattan at the Javits center.
There are lots of <ahem> bikers there wearing their colors. Amongst them you can usually find a "scooter gang" or two.

Yup... A real gang of outlaw scooter hoodlums wearing their colors and acting as such.
Go figure.  :icon_rolleyes:
