Bugger! Never the easy/cheap fix is it??

I fixed the airflow issue in the filter box by adding some angled sheet... air was hitting the back wall and bouncing straight back at the fan rather than going around the corner. Much better!

And lucked out on some pinstriping tape for the tank and front cowl, colour should work nicely.

yes indeed my friend. now i realised how they did it in the old days. you heated water to bathe from a stove or fire. the commode well i used it indoors by flusing a half gallon of water. it worked. dropping bombs was done elsewhere ( stores etc) but it works. next project is to get the kneecrutch idea moving. found just the pad on ebay was able to examine via photo, it would work with my prosthesis. then finishing up comp buildup. then the last 3r pieces of the cow :). then i figure whats next. perhaps project cub. its still on the radar.

Flowing water? Wahoo! Good stuff Yama  :thumb: :woohoo:

EJ... that's actually the fan blades from a pedestal fan. That's inside my filter box in the shed for when I paint in there. Normally there's filter material blocking it from view, it then goes in and around the back of where the motor is, then out the other side where there is an activated charcoal filter to catch anything that made it through the first filter.

Works pretty well for a dodgy home made job and was the only way I could see to make an "explosion proof" fan without spending a huge amount of $$$  :thumb:

Haha it's not that complicated really and is the best I can achieve in limited space without venting fumes out between our house and the neighbour's house, trying to keep things civil  :thumb:

It's also quiet enough not to be a nuisance either.

That should be real handy Yama, definitely something you kneed!

Fab'ing up your own is a cool idea, you can make it suit your height and style it up spot on how you want it too  :thumb:

Got the oil in the 450 changed last night, this morning it's valve clearance checks and hopefully get motivated enough to try to identify my persistent oil weep from one of the four seals under the sprocket cover.

I reckon I found it... counter shaft seal behind the sprocket is wet, that's not right. Not only that, but there's obvious wet fling marks where oil's sat behind the sprocket then flung out when the sprocket starts moving.

Was hoping it wasn't that seal... oh well... going by the teeth I need a new sprocket too...

Ummmm go for it Yama??  :dunno_black:

Sorry... my interest in computer hardware has dwindled off these days... I no longer have a clue what's good, bad, or indifferent... next time I have to replace the home PC I'm going to just get one of those Intel NUC things that bolts to the back of the monitor... I think that suitably demonstrates the care factor  :icon_lol:

CBR... love it!  :icon_lol:
