Master mechanic? Hmmmm... me thinks a little over statement there EJ  ;) :D

I'm happy just to know how to assemble stuff, do basic troubleshooting, and not kill myself by my bikes falling apart after I work on them  :thumb:

Yama, if you so wish to compile said documentary, go forth and compile... probably something I'd not bother to do myself aside from I still intend to do a walk around once she's up and running ready to go on the road, and of course that first ride video as well. Which reminds I probably should break out the GoPro one day and make sure it still works!

Got my top box sorted out yesterday as well, turns out it did indeed have a break in it, split down beside the lock but the design of the box means while the lid is shut securely it held itself together. Handy! A bit of plastic welding with the soldering iron is holding it together nicely.

I was also a bit wrong on what caused it all in the first place too. The hook on the mount actually has a metal support for the plastic, but the self tapping screws holding it in place had loosened off, allow the support to move away from the plastic, therefore plastic breaking off. I've now added a second piece of steel to the existing steel support, and it seemed to be quite secure with me yanking on it yesterday. Have to wait and see how it copes on the bumps.

I also had to apply a bit of tarzan grip to glue the rear reflector in place, I like it there as it's right in cagers' faces as they follow me.

Looks fancy, should have plenty of cooling  :thumb:

Got my bits!!

Last night saw the sump cover on, all the retainers etc. on under the clutch as well as the mechanical advance unit and oil pump. The starter clutch/rotor is in as well as the neutral switch as well, although I need to work out protection for the wiring for that and terminate it yet.

Starter motor and oil pressure switch to go in yet as well as replace the rusty footpeg and rear master cylinder bolts.

Then it's onto checking out valves and seats and looking at getting cylinders honed etc.
