Hello everyone! I'm a long time stalker of this forum but only recently created an account. I've learned a lot from the forum and I'm glad to be here.

So I've found what I think is a good deal and wanted to get your opinion. It's listed as a 2003 GS500, it has 14.4k miles and looks like it's in decent condition with a couple problems. The owner said the brake lines need to be replaced, they aren't leaking but he said the rubber is old and should be replaced soon anyways. Also the bike has sat for a little under a year and so the gas tank and carbs might be pretty gummed up and need some cleaning. I've talked him into $800.

The other question is, I looked up paint codes for the GS500 for the year 2003, and did not see this color listed. Is the bike older than a 2003, and what is this color?

That's a good deal. Are you in the US? Pretty sure 2003 was the year there was no GS500. Must be a 2001 or 2002.

Thanks for the reply. Ya the bike is for sale in Utah. I figured he probably has the year wrong especially since the color is that bluish color. Going off the wiki it's probably the 2001 metallic Abyss blue. I'll be headed  to check it out in person soon and look at the title and give it a more thorough look over Thanks again.
