97 gs500e to gs500f?

i broke my frame cover on my 97 gs500e and can't find new ones so im trying to do a conversion to gs500f frame covers and I like the look better anyway so i was wondering how i would go about doing a conversion and wondering what all i would need

I thought he just meant the plastic side covers on the subframe, not the cowling/fairings on the front of the bike.

OP, the tank/seat changed between 00-01. So the newer frame covers wont fit on the older model unless you modify the tank and seat somehow to fit. Unfortunately, beyond that I'm not sure exactly what you'd need to change since my bike is a mostly unmodified 05 F.

I've seen them called all kinds of things over the years... "frame covers" and "tail fairings" and "rear plastics" etc etc... it's all the same thing :thumb:

I have the tail plastics if you're interested?  They are pinkish orange color though,...
