Hey guys, so I'm pretty new here. Bought my 2004 GS500F in December after it had sat for 5 years. Got it running in February and have been commuting to work on it every day since the start of April. It's a nice first bike, but I've definitely had a few issues with it. I've been lurking around here for a while looking for solutions to problems, but one major issue that I keep running into is that there are a bunch of How-Tos and whatnot that are a decade old or more, and they reference pictures, but I can't see any image in the post, or even a link to an image. I don't want to go posting questions that have already been answered, but it's kind of hard follow instructions when the referenced image isn't available. Am I just missing something really simple to get them to display, or does everyone have this issue? I thought maybe creating an account would make them visible, but that doesn't seem to have worked.

No you're not missing anything.  They just don't work anymore.  Personally I did a whole thread using facebook and then all my pics stopped working.  I started using imgbb which works for now.  Who knows in ten years? :2guns:

Yeah the image upload sites that people used in the past have disappeared or changed the way they produce their html.
You might have some luck using the Wayback Machine:

They archive versions of websites. Sometimes with pictures.

Its a good reminder that nothing on the internet is guaranteed to be permanent. I host my own pictures, but if I ever stop paying for hosting they would be gone.

Thanks, I'll check that out. So far, it looks like it doesn't capture anything within a certain thread, but I'll keep looking.

Glad to know this isn't just me. Guess I'll be posting a little more often!

Does a Taco Truck count? Because we have one that stops at my work every Tuesday and Friday and parks like 50' from my bike!
