Yah it sure is... I can't stop lookin at it! Can't tell if its a pure abomination or a work of art... Maybe it's both. I wanna try it! I reckon I would do something a little less MadMax... This could look really good blacked out and refined a little.

It really shows how customisable the GS really is hey!?

This is the response I am expecting from folks of a saner temperament. I'm not sure I'm right in the head ;) haha!

Just got done seeing this post in the FB group (I'm an admin there) and I can say, I've seen a LOT of chopped GS tails! But this one is certainly different and I kinda do like it. If for nothing else, just that it's finally something other than "cafe racer" or scrambler.

I'd love to know more about it and see more pics... what was done, how well, why, etc.

It certainly doesn't have that "finished" look... but a project vehicle is never really ever finished, right ?
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

Yeah, that was me posting.. Coppin some hate lol
But yeah man same! Super fascinated as to how someone got the idea to do this, and I reckon the concept could be refined to result in a unique expression of the GS. Super quirky, but super creative too.

I am going to ponder a way to build on the idea ;) I'll take one for the team. Watch this space ;)

Bluesmudge

At first I really liked the idea of the hand shift lever coming off the transmission. That seemed really fun and unique. Then I realized....you can't clutch with your left hand and shift with your left hand at the same time!
Even if they swapped the clutch and brake levers somehow...now you can't downshift and use the front brake at the same time!

I had a buddy wanting to build a harley and was dead set on hand shifter.  I told him the same thing blue and stressed trying to work that set up in garbage Houston traffic!  He never did follow through with it.
