yeah once I can get the boots on I will be able to ride. Should be late this afternoon. Forecast says only 101 by then.

Watcher

Currently 107°F here.

Let us know how the ride goes.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna pass today. Maybe tomorrow morning early. 106F this afternoon and I still can't get my feet wet until Friday. I think I'll avoid sweating in my shoes for another couple of days.

Sorry for the poor quality.  Lighting was bad and apparently I have to clean the lens on my helmet-cam.  I did find some place a little more in line with "juice bar," though.

As for the new challenge, lets get a pic of your bike at a water tower.

deja vu, Watcher?

http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php/topic,45412.msg878687.html#msg878687

But anyway, I did get out and ride my GS today, and it was glorious. I went really early so it wouldn't be hot, and had only planned on riding maybe 15 minutes but wound up going nearly an hour.

And I got this pic:

If that works, then the next challenge will be ...  in the spirit of hot weather in the northern hemisphere ...

Let's have a natural fresh water swimming area. I know a lot of them are closed around here, but maybe you can find one open enough to park and take a picture.

Huh, that challenge does seem to crop up fairly often, eh?

Fresh water swimming area?  Never heard of a water park referred in that way.

Fixed it. Natural fresh water swimming area.  You know, lake, river, cenote, pond...

Oh!  Maybe that was just me assuming.

I saw the word "closed" and was like "nature doesn't close.  Does he mean a water park?"

But I guess it would make sense many public areas being shut down, even "forest preserve" type areas.

in TX most places like this, if they are a public park like state or county, or access is controlled via public park like on rivers, they are all closed. Oddly enough many neighborhood pools are open. Like it's safer for 100 people to pack into the neighborhood pool than to go swim in the lake or float down the river in a tube.

@Gruntle

Nice job!  Ain't no swimming holes in Tucson (that I know of) so I'm glad someone else got on this.

What's your challenge, good sir?

'tis a lovely spot on the Thames, just upriver from the house that inspired "Toad Hall" in "The Wind in the Willows" and just down river from "The Swan" in "3 Men in a Boat" - 51°29'31"N 1°03'46"W

So how about your bike, wearing a bandanna, on a railway crossing...  :D

Lovely spot, bit chilly this time of year?
Got two brothers and two nephews in Oz, one set near Melbourne and one set near Perth, all bikers pleased to say  :D

It does get chilly a bit at nights, but it's been 70F in the days up around here. There are so many amazing roads around Australia, but this particular spot where I am now is like motorbike heaven https://postimg.cc/gallery/bdbD488

How's this?

Show me your GS with a JET airplane.  NEW picture please.  Not one you took 5 years ago.
If you can't be a good example, at least try to be a horrible reminder.

Nice pic! The V&H looks good on there.

Alright folks, I don't want to have to win my own challenge, so I'm giving you all a couple more days before I post my own pic and give you another (which also ain't gonna be a walk in the park picture.  I thought these were supposed to be challenges!).

Here's my current challenge, which I posted after showing my GS on the train tracks:

I got nothing to offer but excuses,...  There's a little airport not too far but I dunno if there'd be any jets.  IAH isn't thaaaat far out either but not sure what'd be there and military jets, got me :dunno_black:. Hopefully somebody can get it!
