Quote from: PhaedrusAlso, while I was looking at their rates, I noticed they have tent rentals as well. Hmm..I might even do that, it would only be an extra $8 a night and I wouldn't have to haul one with me from New York. That's might even be worth it.  :thumb:

After alot of vacume and wind tunned experiments I can account for a 2.4% increase wind drag from the tent sticking out into the "wind" beyond the aerodynamics of the motorcycle I then found that fuel efficency decreases 3.1% which for a standard 55mpg motorcycle it accounts for about 1.7mpg. [53.3 total consumption] and then multiplying it by the overly generaly estimated mileage from New York [250] we have a loss of 425miles or an additional consumption of 7.974gallons due to the phat azz tent sticking out the side. conclusion: 7.974X$2.00= $15.947...wow damn I just b/s like a pro and got renting a tent to be 1/2 as expensive as lugging it around. :nana:

I don't see why not!    :thumb: Seems like it is more of a Gstwin.com event than a strict GS500 event.
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

You know you are welcome to join us any time Jeff!  But given your current situation (at least from the last I know of), I can't imagine you'd be "allowed" out on this camping trip. (It would be nice to see you again though!)

Hey Amanda, Yup, I'm still going. Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and the new faces.

I'm here there a little every where. I'm right now I'm up at Frostburg State University completing my last semester. Use to live in Hagerstown but i'm also working the real estate up in Greencastle and Chambersburg [pa] because my cheap butt can't afford to live in MD....but ya

Looks like Krateguy noticed the avatar. :)  If all goes according to plan I should have one of those by the time this all happens.  I figure 5 years of piling miles on the GS should earn me a ticket to hand out with you guys.   ;)

Nice choice! I would like to downsize my 955i for one of those. My Daytona is a bit of a bear on the tight tracks. Did you pre-order? If so, what color? My good friend Matt works for Triumph (Jules knows him also), this is him

http://www.triumph.co.uk/usa/2797.aspx

e-mail him if you have any questions on the bike, he ordered one for himself too, tell him Jeff from PA sent you.

Yea, really! Actually no not that one, just the one sample in his resume to them and the first article in the monthly magazine.  ;)  He did hook me up a couple times this year at RAT raids though.

Yep, I pre-ordered.  Tornado Red is the color, I just can't resist a red sport bike.  Unless some life altering event happens between now and March-April I should have it.

Wow a "in" at Triumph, maybe a test ride?  Heck... a test sit or a test see would work. :)  Yep, yep... I'm buying a bike I've never seen in person, I've checked, that's the definition of crazy.
