People are stupid.

Things I hear from people all the time:

"You're going to get killed riding that motorcycle."
"Those cigarettes are going to kill you."
"You're a pilot?  You're going to crash into a mountain and die!"
"That bacon-cheeseburger-with-extra-mayo is going to stop your heart on a dime."
"If you keep drinking like that, you're going to kill your liver."
"Your wife is going to kill you!"  :icon_rolleyes:
(the list goes on...use your imagination, I do a lot of stupid things)

The way I look at it, they can't all be right.  Whenever someone gives me a hard time about any of them, I say something like, "Naw...the smoking will probably get me first."  The funny thing is: I'm pretty sure that one of these days my wife really is going to smother me in my sleep.   :icon_confused:  Chances are, I will have deserved it.

my brother died riding a motorcycle so when people tell me their dangerous i let them know my past and that i fully understand the danger involved.  That usually makes then stfu.. also why i will never ride a GSXR..

I'm sorry about your brother.  I've got 4 and I don't know what I'd do without 'em.
I got none. it gets lonely from time to time, but it's alright  :kiss3: so don't worry
Caturday yet?

Altho they do feel more stable, i just dont feel comfortable sitting with my legs spread open :thumb: ...and having a 650+lbs bike fall on your leg is not a fun experience! just my $.02
I've ridden my sister's cruiser a few times...  I agree that cruisers don't corner as easily as the GS, but my sister's BF can outride me on that thing...  He was scraping pegs around corners and was losing me...

I have to agree with monopoly, that it's more the rider than the bike (but the bike helps)...

  Friggen tell me about it...  I think my wife would poison me...  Since I NEVER cook.  And I'd deserve it too...

The smoking reply is easy for me... People say, "You know, smoking is bad for you."  and I say, "So is telling smokers not to smoke." :thumb:

Indeed the rider is the one who causes the accidents most of the time but you got to remember all bikes are setup differently and what type of setup you like best.

The GSXR's have sensitive throttle's compared to the GS'es. You only have to turn it a tad bit when starting off, meanwhile my GS i have to turn it a bit more in order to make the bike go.

All my dirtbikes i've owned were setup almost identical to a supersport bikes throttle style of being very touchy...But hey thats just the way i like it..the less i have to flick my wrist the better! ;)
