the zzr600 is the old carbed zx6r that they kept making and selling it under a new name.  my friend has an 02 zx6r and it is mechanically the same bike i believe.

Correct.  Makes about 100hp, and is identical to the 00-02 zx6r J model.  Great bike.  Great brakes.  Great motor.  I love riding that bike.  I seriously doubt an SV650 can beat it in a 1/4, but who really cares.  I can't say how smoth that motor is, so far better than my gsxr 600 motor in smoothness.  And BTW the J model zx6r and 02 gsxr were identical in power.  We would switch bikes and could never gain an inch on each other no matter how hard we beat those bikes.  Did I mention the triple pot brakes bite like nothing I have ever ridden.

The reason Kawi brought the old zx6r back was it had reached a high level of refinement.  I think they made the right move.  I do agree that FI would make that bike even better, but ours has had no issues so far.  It really isn't the touring bike they say it is -it would be no different calling a zx9 a touring bike.  I'd call it a very agressive sport tourer.

This is by far the best post anyone has had in 2006.   I have to get some robot stickers for my bike.

Let me check through my stash, I may be all out of those. My buddy Nick loves robot stickers.

Dude, speaking of stickers, last night as I was riding home from campus I saw a guy (he happened to be Mexican, which may or may not have anything to do with it) driving a Chevy Beretta with a big Honda sticker that looked homemade and a "got sand?" one in the rear window. So apparently he goes to the dunes...in his Honda...Beretta...yeah.

I like Mexican food!  Rolled tacos are my favorite, followed closely by fish tacos.

Yeah, Teflon Nick is Hispanic, so don't sweat that.

But no need for racial slurs. I meant to tell you that earlier Nicky...even though certain races may use certain terms among themselves, that doesn't mean you can. You mentioned the n-word in a previous post. And although the spelling made it questionable as to what you were saying, it was still an n-bomb.

Oh man, I love Mexican food too. There's this little place on Cesar Chavez street downtown here called Lita's that has the BEST barbacoa tacos I have ever had. On homemade corn tortillas they are remarkably delicious. Very simple, too. Just some home cooked, home seasoned barbacoa on a homemade corn tortilla. Delicious.

Some of the best food I've ever had was from the street vendors in Queretaro and in DF. You order tacos, and they give these little corn tortillas filled with beefy goodness. They're so simple, but impossible to replicate.

They best food that I ever had though were the tortas in Queretaro. I don't know what made them so good, but I got one every few days on the walk home from school. Those were unreal.

That's EXACTLY what these are. My friend says that they are the closest thing you can get to Mexico in Austin.
