Welcome!  Are you sure you're not a CBR1000F?  Or, did you migrate from Canada?  Either way, welcome!

Oh yeah, i've very sure of what I am.  I'm also known as "The Big One."  I was only sold in the states for 3 years and most pepole have never seen one of my kind.  I'm not very good at computers and so I don't yet know how to post a picture of myself.  But you can see a nice picture of one my kind here

Welcome!

Hope you enjoy the GS!  It's great on all of these Bay Area roads!  Come down to San Jose and ride famous Hwy9 up to 'four corners' and Alice's Restaraunt!  (Let me know when you do!)  Mines Road is closer to where you are, and it's a great road, but be wary of Mt. Hamilton, there are some very steep switchbacks; definitely not newbie freindly.  Check out www.BayAreaRidersForum.com , too!

Been there, done that. I've actually been riding for over a year now so I'm pretty familiar with all the roads around the area. Funny you should mention Mines and Mt. Hamilton, that was my first "long" twisties ride. Damn I almost had a heart attack up there, I was clenching the bars on the EX so hard we had to tighten them when we got back home. Man the view is so amazing though, too bad it gets so damn hot up there.
Oh and I've also been on quite a few Doc Wong rides. I'm actually going to be in that area on sunday riding my dad's SV650s... the one I crashed on Redwood rd. about a month ago  So yeah I'm out there. I'm on barf too btw.

Hey There,

I'm a 31 Year Old cop from Peterborough, Ontario.  My wife bought me a 2002 gs500 k2 for my birthday.  It's been dropped good and hard once but took a limited effort to make safety.  I love it and can't get enough of it.  I've been told to take it easy though.  A mechanic told me it's "the sports bike that loves to remind you that it's not a sports bike".

Welcome!

I like to think of the GS as a sportbike that makes you forget it's not a super-sport!  :icon_mrgreen:

Hey There,

I'm a 31 Year Old cop from Peterborough, Ontario.  ...

I lived in Cobourg for 5 years about a lifetime ago.  Remember that the roads around and north of Peterborough are awesome for riding.  Enjoy the ride.   :thumb:

I've already been riding most of the curvy roads around Peterborough like the 507 run.  Even the road leading from Trent U to Lakefield can be fun.  Have to watch out for potholes though.

Hello! I'm a 25 y/o white female...I live in Dallas, Texas...I'm a teacher....and I just bought my first bike.  I got an 04 gs500f two days ago, and I'm having a blast!  I'm still in the learning stages, but so far so good!  I took my MotoSafeCourse back in July, and previous to that I had ridden a couple of times back in high school...and I've been a passenger many a times.  Now that I have settled myself in Dallas, I figured it was about time I bought my own bike....

Hi, I'm a 23yr old male from the Central West N.S.W. in Australia. I have a Black/Silver GS500F that I bought brand new in late Febuary this year, so far I can't fault it! I'm just off my learners licence and had never ridden a bike before I bought mine, so I guess it shows how much of a good bike they are!!! I love it's fuel consumption (of there lack of!!) and it's comfortable ride. So hello all you fellow GS riders!
