Hello,
I am John from Hackett, Ark. I am a father of three daughters and a granddad. After riding several different types of bikes, I figured I would try the GS500f. I love it.
I am a biomed tech at one of the local hospitals in the next town.
If you are in my area, you will always see me on my bike.
Everyone have a great day.

Well, I've posted a few times already, so I guess I should already have added a post in this thread LOL.

My names Johnny and I live in CT... I used to ride as a kid, and I had a streetbike in college.  I haven't ridden in about 15 years(except for my old Suzuki Quad), and  have been really antsy to get another bike over the past couple of years... just had to convince the wife LOL.  I figured the GS500 was a great bike to get back into riding, and I found a pretty mint 1998 for an absolute STEAL.  Now I just need it to warm up out here so I can drive it home already!  It's still sitting in the PO's garage until I can pick it up.  It's the Aztec Orange... can't wait until it warms up here...  forecast says 40's for next week so it looks like I'll be riding it home on Tuesday.  The waiting is driving me nuts, LOL...

Just realized I still haven't posted in this thread yet.

Name's Mu, I'm an undergrad at UC Berkeley. Use the GS to get to and from campus (and to hit the Berkeley Hills between one or two hour breaks between classes). Loving the bike right now, just got it running super smooth, and learned a lot about bike maintenance and repair.

I'm a 27 year old, married, white male in Portland, OR.   :icon_mrgreen:  I'm from the land of the year-round ride originally (Texas).  Love my ocean blue 95.  I like having a bike that I can get to know.  GS500's are the best for getting intimate with.  Doin' all my own maintenance and testing my skills as the days go by.  I get good opportunities to polish techniques in this moderately sized big city.   :thumb:

Boris

Just bought a GS again after having a cb-1 and a Hornet for the last 6 years (had 2 GS's before that both got nicked). I'm in South Wales and the Hornet is for sale (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=33398.0)
This is the GS:

It looks good but it's 12 years old and some bits are showing it!! The exhaust has got more rust and holes than it's got metal, I think it's beyond even gungum and barBQ paint.
The engine is really good (22,000 miles) and starts first touch of the button. So I've got a cheap fun commuter!
I work in a school (the only job where you get 13 weeks a year holiday) and when I'm not riding bikes I fly traction kites with an ATB.
Poking the Grim Reaper with a stick, then running away.
