My name is Guinevere and I am from Buffalo, NY.  I have had the GS500f (2008) for about a month now, but have only taken it about 4 miles down the road.  I wrecked my other bike in august (Ninja 250R) and am still having a little trouble getting around.  I wanted something that was light and could stick to the corners; I was advised that the GS would handle well.  I had planned to upgrade the ninja next summer, but my plans were advanced by a guardrail.  However the new bike and I are going to get along quite well.  :D

I am 17 years old and i am from St. Catharine's ONT. I ride a 2009 GS 500F. And I love the bike, it sure beats my previous bike a 2001 250 Honda Rebel.
I love riding its the best thing ever. I have got my bike in march and i have 8000 km on it which isn't bad considering the bad summer that we have had.
My riding is limited tho because of work and school.  :)

G'Day from Darwin  :cheers:
Been riding an 08 GS500(my first bike), for just over 12 months now. Currently in the process of rejetting the carb. Will likely post some pics later of the hideous destruction visited upon some of the carby screws. :icon_razz:

I'm a third year transfer student to Cal State East Bay (formally known as Cal State Hayward), Bio Major. New to Riding. Just bought my '89 GS500E last week.
Full Time student. Hopefully I can meet some people to help me out on my journey to learning the ways of the rider. lol

I'm also an avid gun collector and car enthusiast. Not to forget knives too. I often wonder where my money goes sometimes... haha ^^;;

Tan37

Well firstly hi everyone.

My name is Tanya I am 37 and I am from Australia I have a 2004 GS500. I started riding about 6 months ago now and can't get enough of it. I commute to work daily and probably do anything between 300 - 600kms on the weekends, getting out into the twisties and nice country roads we have on offer here.

I came on here looking for info on tyres and was stunned at the amount of things people are doing to these bikes. I had always looked at my GS as an "in between bike" as it is what we call here in Aust a LAM's approved bike, so a learner or P plater can ride them until they get off restrictions after 12 months and then can ride anything. But after seeing what some people have done with their bikes they can look very cool.

Anyway I will be lurking about from time to time and would love to join in the photo game sometime too.

Cheers  :cheers:

Welcome, but this is bad news for the rest of us trying to win the picture game... there are too many Australians with cameras that keep winning the challenges!  Enjoy the forum.

P.S. Search the forum for 'The Pace' articles - a must read for new riders (even if not riding in a group).

Yeah. I'm one of them Crazy Aussies whose camera goes Everywhere. I Need it for work, so it comes with me. I take it along on weekend rides, for obvious reasons and not so obvious reasons (I write about the rides in our club newsletter and the photos are for the same). So, it's with me pretty well all the time. And as our Waking Hours are opposite to the US and UK, we are in prime positions to win challenges - of course, challenges we post should be won by those in the US and UK.

For the latest challenge, click the link in my sig file.

Alll people welcome to The Game...
