Despite the great price, its much more a money thing than location.  :icon_sad:

Very nice bike...  Love that swing arm!  Why you letting it go so cheap?  - Bob!

Roadstergal

I think it's about right, from looking at what race bikes are going for in CA.  Dedicated non-street bikes are a smaller market.  There's nothing wrong with it; it had a few issues when I bought it (fairng brackets wonky, charging system not working), but I fixed them (new stator, new brackets).  It's ready to roll.

For those who are asking about how to fit the swingarm and the forks and the like on a GS500 - there's a reason I bought it after Sonny did all that. ;)

Chanse

Hey can I have that thing hanging off the right side.. :D .. the red and black one.....   :embarrassed:  JK,  makes me miss my GSXR 750 track bike, about the same extent of work done, but like she said dedicated track bike dont sell for much. I only got 3 grand for mine, and it was scarry insane fast.....
Current project:
Mmotos full body kit (YOU DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... READ MY THREAD BOOT STATE UPDATE)
K&N Lunchbox
Buddah's jets
CBR F2 rearsets
Ducati pass pegs (Modified)
Kat rear wheel
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Can, possibly shortened and relocated
And so on......

Three bolts only on the rear rotor - that's all the little GS needs.  We'll put in more bolts if you want to add unspring weight.

Bump, lowered price.

Seems like such a good deal....59 hp....WOOT!   Fastest GS in the world.
Attack but have a back up plan

Roadstergal

It's not just that it goes - it also stops and turns.

The price isn't going to go down much as a whole bike.  I'll part it if there's interest.

Someone in a state that's more laid-back than CA could probably get it plated.

joshr08

i want the fe and rear sets.  lol  its an awesome bike and super great deal for the coin

If you decide to part it I'll take the steering damper (if it doesn't get sold with the FE)
My 90 GS500E has spread itself across the nation.

It really is worth more as a full motorcycle; it's had a lot of time and effort put into making it an integrated, I-4-embarassing whole, and it will take a lot of time and effort to make the bike the parts are put on half as good.

Since it's a Buddha Loves You to part a bike, I'd ask more for the parts in toto than I would for the whole bike.

If I get legitimate interest in the engine and carbs as well as the suspension, I'll do it.

Bluesmudge

nooo, don't part it! Its so beautiful. I'm sure you can find a buyer. Let it live!

Roadstergal

I sure would like to.  You could spend 5x what I'm asking on a GS and not get the bike set up as well.  It's not just the parts - it's the development, and a handful of local racers have been on this bike and sorted it out well.

That is one beautiful GS. Too bad the price is approximately equivalent to the taxes I just paid  :technical:. If this is still for sale in a month or so, I'm driving up there and taking it off your hands for sure.
