OK pics of the exhaust kit is here

It will be a slip on fit... no welding needed... just cut with dremel and fit it on... And $125 for carbon fiber can ... The bad news... only 3 left... OK OK I only had 4 to start with... and I will probably make more but I would like to get pre orders... sorta ... Pay and wait a few days, due to the fact I have to make up the parts after getting the exhaust can. The can is new, and very good quality, as is the round plate... and neither one is really all that light... everything is heavy duty... all stainless can, and my adapter plate is steel but its very thick, and will fit a GS like a charm...
Cool.

Don't you have to weld on the adapter plate?  :dunno:

Whoa, niiiiiice!

Maybe when my PI settlement comes in...

bcutrufelli

is that real carbon fiber my freind has one you can touch it evenwhen the bike has been running a while.  anyway we can hear it or can you compare it to another pipe

The Buddha

I just fitted the first one on a local GS... The pipe is deep sounding and it is very non tinny... Very Brrrrrruuuub Brrrrrrrubbbbbbbb... missing is that under lying trrrrrrounnnn trrrrrounnnn... I will let the new owner comment on it...
Also The carbon I know the kind that doesn't get as hot as fast... I believe this will stay cooler longer than metal... No real evidence of how cool and how long... The reason is... I believe the pipe has a metal outer wall... the carbon is on top of that just for looks... The damn can looks like it will survive a tank rolling on top of it....
Cool.

Nice.

What about rejetting and all?

The Buddha

Yea you would need to rejet... However with this set up you can add a choker like a large diamater washer... You'll have to see it instead of me explaining it ... pics comming soon... that will cut flow... so you can get away without a rejet... and when you do rejet... simply remove the choker ....
Cool.

OK new flange pics are here... true slip on now... Slice the can off with a dremel and then fit the flange... mark the inside pipe where it should be cut, cut that and fit the can and flange and clamp on the can... 10 mins with a dremel tool, and maybe 5 mins checking and fiddling... Also I can provide a removable restrictor if anyone wants...
Cool.

Since you have a limited quantity, perhaps you can post dimensions for the adapter plate.  If we know the bolt pattern and location of the hole relative to the center of the circle and the bolt holes, we can make them for ourself.  Also, what bike is that can supposed to go on?  I'm sure one of our members could do a cad drawing and post it as a jpeg.  I could do it but my software crashed on me so I still need to reinstall it.

Of course if you have plans to make more, then I suppose there's no need for the dimensions :)

It  looks good by the way :thumb:

Its limited to the number of cans I can score at the cheapo $$$ I have been buying... The plate itself is not the Issue... plenty more where that came from. Dimensions and hole locations are sorta dependent on the can... I have GSXR 600, CBR900RR or YZF 1000 cans.
Cool.

The adapter plate will be painted with high heat paint before it leaves the welders... cos it rusts very very rapidly. The kit is all inclusive... countersunk bolts, gaskets, clamps and rubber cushion under the clamp... all in the package. Literally 20 min to slap it on, and if you want a choked one so you can run it without rejet... tell me and I'll modify it before sending it out.
Cool.

With a carbon fiber can there is not a metal sleeve under the carbon sleeve. Just the carbon outer sleeve and stainless steel inner metal baffle seperated by the fiberglass packing along with the aluminum end caps. Heat is not a problem. You can put you hands on the carbon at most any time after riding, just do not touch any metal. The CF is fairly tough, but does not fair too well when damaged. It is repairable though. I have pics on one my Yosh cans (from my TLR) taken apart and repaired if anyone want to see.
Common sense in not very common.

The Buddha

Aaah... OK... the thing was so heavy I thought it was double walled... BTW Its just under 1/2 the weight of the stocker... so I guess its not that heavy after all... But The other cans, all aluminum ones like the cobra weigh nothing... but I guess they are real thin wall and aluminum so cant compare to thick stainless steel... like I said... Survive a tank rolling over it.
Cool.

Also available in titanium since that seems to be flavor of the month... once again I dont think these are going to be around too long... because many places have started closing them out and the good stuff is vanishing fast.
Cool.

Is the titanium can the same price as the carbon? Any pics?

The Buddha

Yea Titanium = carbon for $$$ and pics ... damn, you guys want pics for everything... I'll put one up tommorow   . Ironically they weigh nearly the same and probably sound similar (Not heard the titanium) with a bit of metallic hint in the Ti. Just guessing.
Cool.
