agreed... i always wished they had put the bugscreen from the z1000 on the z750.  looks like they did, just not here.

You are right, from a performance perspective they are the same bikes, but to paraphrase another GStwin member from another thread... the "nice-guy" color and the butt-ugly quarter fairing are a deal-breaker.  I am inclined to agree.  The Z750 should have taken its styling cues from its bigger brother.  if so, it would be on my short-list of next bikes after I have ridden the SV for a few years.

I also think the split seat adds a nice,  agressive touch to the styling..

For a naked I-4, I bought one of these:

Man! I just love all naked bikes.  but I think the my GS500 is still pretty sweet!!  Also, z750 is one badass bike!

If you love naked bikes then why would you consider the GSX-R600....There is plenty of naked bike choices....I myself would narrow it down to a SV1000 (650 will not be that big of a step up in my opinion)....the SV1000 is the best sounding bike too....other choices I would recommend is a Yamaha FZ6 or FZ1 and a Ducati Monster (they go from 620 cc to around 1000cc)....

I can't even say anything bad about the SV650....I would just pay the extra $$$ to get some amazing performance out of the 1000....

I love the naked bikes but I still like the sporty look of full fairing gsxr.  But you are right I do PREFER naked bikes!     hopefully, in a year or two i can find a used z750 for good price!
