I just got the Jan. '06 issue of Motorcycle Consumer News and it states that the GS500F, tested 7/'05, makes 38.1 rear-wheel horsepower while the DR650 (7/96) made 34.5. Torque is 25.6 (lb. ft.) for the GS and 33.2 for the DR.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
