Whoa!!  Small claims can be tricky depending on the state.  VA is only $1000 (which is why I'm suing over a Townhouse rental).  MA however ,.......

Quote from: MA Small Claims Court
Dollar Limit:: $2,000 (no limit for property damage caused by motor vehicles) Where To Sue: Where plaintiff or defendant resides or where defendant has regular business or is employed

Edit: Better link at the actual MA Gov page.

No limit for damage caused by motor vehicles, meaning he could take them for all they have.

Seems that way ... maybe Anna will have a new car :)

The shop I took it to this morning has done this A LOT.  He was listing EVERYTHING.  Even the chain guard and the grab rail.  The left-side rear plastic has a "gouge" in the sticker, but he still put that in there.  He looked over the bike REAL well (as well as can be without taking it apart though).

I was thnking of getting the quote and approaching the @$$hole or the @$$hole's mother and telling them basically what MAK had posted earlier.  Show them the quote to fix EVERYTHING, and hopefully settle with at least $500-600 dollars.  AT LEAST that much.

I'm gonna scan the police report now, so it should be up in a couple minutes.

And no...  I'm not blocking the @$$hole's info.  So send mail as much as you want.

What about 50/50?

Is Suziki somehow related to Zaziki? If so, YUM!

My VA license had a picture of a 10 year old Korean boy on it.  I was a little surprised since they hadn't taken my picture yet.  The DMV guy was pissed.  Then he forgot to give me my motorcycle endorsement .... I was there all day.

Bad luck that the car wasn't in his parent's name, or you would have had a lot better chance at getting cash out of this.

I wouldn't advocate vigilante justice if Mr. Sam can't pay up, but remember that patience is a virtue :).

yamahonkawazuki

isnt the parents liable for something someone does with their vehicle? i.e. letting someone use their vehicle? i know it is around here :dunno_white:
