wtf, is my GS the only one running in all of the bay area!?     :nono:

Oh the irony!  But hey, you haven't gone riding with me and Matt the last two times we've been out.   :nono:  I go for rides even though my bike is falling apart!

Sounds almost like we should have a wrenching party!   :icon_mrgreen:

We did!  :icon_mrgreen: You just didn't come!  :flipoff:

Heheh... uber-PWNED on both accounts.    :flipoff:

Mine's running...it's just leakin' back and forth to work.  Hopefully, it'll only have one day of downtime this weekend, I should have it up and running just in time for the rain Tuesday.

Looks like it might rain today too?

pandy

It's supposed to be overcast all day, but I don't think it's supposed to rain.....so "they" say....  :)

Nah, just high-level clouds; wont rain.  Looked like it was threatin' to drizzle earlier.

I'm getting the itchy-wrench hand.

Well, I'd offer my SVS so you could scratch that itch (so to speak), but my better half has him in fine form....

Though you could always come over and adjust/clean my chain anytime you want, and if your oil-change hands ever get itchy...

And if you wanted to clean him from top to bottom....   (I'm such a lazy slob. :P )

Oh yeah, the chain.  I forgot I have to adjust that too!    :cookoo:

Last time I went to Helimot's, Helmut came out to look at my bike after I lowered it (this is a couple of weeks ago, and I had it lowered a couple of months ago).

Helmut got a look on his face that I hate; it's a look that means there's something very, very wrong with my bike (he's VERY good at spotting nasty little problems quickly). Four bolts (the four that are located where the bolt is labeled #4 below) were....slightly loose....ok....three of them were ready to fall out and the fourth was slightly loose... ???

Helmut grabbed a socket set so that my better half could make the adjustment....yeesh.... the trouble I find!  :cookoo:

Do you need me to do a once-over on your bike?

Actually, that would probably be a very good idea. I find every excuse in the book not to be there when it's time for my better half to teach me how to do that myself (I'm a rider (sort of), not a wrencher  :icon_lol:). Sooooo.....need to use our garage for something? Can I fix you dinner? When are you free?

:o  hey Scratch, when I replaced the gasket on the gs....took me like 4 hours  it was like 3hours 45 minutes of scraping the old gasket off... I don't know what they put it on there with but it wouldn't come off fer nuthin....I almost gave up...but it finally worked out

Scraping old gaskets has got to be the worst part of wrenching.  I've used gasket remover, but that has a tendency to damage the paint.

Wait...you don't even have enough time to work on your OWN bike! Why are you offering to work on mine!? ???  :cookoo:

I can do it sometime after I'm done with my bike, that way I can ride my bike over.

Well, Scratch is always in high demand.  Probably depends on who offers the tastiest dinner at the time...  :icon_razz:

pandy

He's had dinner at my house before. I'd win!  :flipoff: :icon_mrgreen:

Come on, WildBlue, we gotta team up and get Scratch over to our neck of the woods.  Between the two of us we can beat Pandy!

You have to use a brush to apply just enough gasket remover to the residual gasket and/or mating surface.  It works...you just have to be verwy, verwy careful.  :)

I'm still not done.  My shed does not have good ventilation.  Or, heating.
