Would this fit the same way on an E model(clearance, wiring)?  Looking back and forth between the E and yours...it's amazing how quickly my E manages to look old...anyway, does anyone know if it would fit with the stock E headlight brackets?  I know, it's only 10 bucks, but just wondered.

wiring is the same as you can take an E model headlight and put it on the F's , the E mounting bracket I do not think will work because you have to slide them down a fair amount.

Sweet.   It really looks great!!  I am considering this option and I would like to ask you  some questions:   Have you ever had any issue with the headlight hitting the fender when suspension compressed??   There is any  headlight vibration?   How did you attached the new mirrors?  do you need any special brackets?  Do you think those mirrors will look good with clipons?
Thank you for the pics, that was a nice idea.

No issues with headlight and suspension compressed.
No headlight vibration at all and this surprised the hell out of us because of what we used to mount it.
On the F models, the brake master cylinder and the clutch
bracket come with the option to hook up this type of mirrors so I didnt do anything except use the alternative factory mounts.
I do not think these mirrors will look good with anything except handlebars.

check out what I did to tailight in my other post

Reviving and old thread but I really like this look and can't figure out what brackets I need to mount my headlight like this.  I understand I have to bend the crap out of them to get it to work but I can't find any headlight brackets, guess I'm searching for the wrong terms on parts sites.  Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

fred

I really like the look of that headlight. Well done.

:thumb: I love this idea. I thought of trying that myself but I was still undecided about wether or not to do the dual headlight setup. After seeing it on the bike I really like it.

it looks sick. I am doing it within the next couple of weeks. I tried looking up denniskirk for the headlight mount and could not find it.

Whenever you have time, please let us know the part numbers.  Overall, awesome look. Looks badass!

thanks for the quick response. How does it feel after all the riding? It is rock solid right. I wouldn't want that whole thing vibrating loose when I am on the freeway.  :)

Darkmyst

Thanks as well, I like the look, but am debating doing the mod...  Seattle weather is not kind unfortunately...

Only problem I have had after 9 months of riding is mirrors vibrate after 85pmh but this has been going on since I first did it.
