Hey everyone! 31yo from Lexington, KY....new to the GS twins, but not to bikes...just recently acquired a 1996 GS 500e.  It's currently some shade of metallic blue, however it will soon be flat black.  The previous owner changed the round headlight to one of those ebay streetfighter  dual halogen setups.  It doesnt look too bad, but clashes against the blue paint.

Hi All,

Just got a 2000 GS500 on Saturday. First bike has only 2000 miles and bought it for $2000.  :woohoo:. Look forward to learning from you guys and gals.

Kovac

Hello, my name is Kovac and im a recent GS500coholic. Bought the bike in December and ended up riding it on the first sunny day in February. I had it parked in the garage infront of my car, but couldnt stand looking at it every day and not being able to ride it! I broke down, i couldnt wait.

Since then i put 1'700 miles on it. Its currently in pieces as im replacing the O-ring gasket that goes on the stud between the cylinder and cylinder head. The o-ring should be coming in today and i will hopefully have it up and running by tonight and riding all weekend long.

Oh and its a 2004 GS500f with 1'800 miles on it and im from Pickering Ontario, Canada

Hey everyone

Wow so I somehow managed to overlook this thread  :dunno_white:

Anyways, I'm 22 (23 on July 21!! w00t) married 5'9" biker goddess living in Huntsville, AL with 2 puppies, no childrens yet - originally from Tampa, FL area and missing the beach. TVA engineer by trade and while my husband, another engineer, is overseas with the army right now I am going to "honor" his absence by working on my bike, yellow/gray '04F. (Since he got me started on this whole riding things < 1 yr ago)

I have no mechanical background whatsoever, so I'm gonna start small, have fun, and probably bug the crap out of quite a few people on here - please excuse my blonde moments.

This place is addictive.... you all have great info!

Ok.. so biker goddess might be a stretch, but a girl's gotta have some goals...  8)
