I haven't been in this forum in a while... whoa!  Looks very different!  What happened to all the black? lol

Well, my run with the GS500F is coming to an end.  I had it for two years and it served me well as I started from total noob.  I'm upgrading to something with a bit more power... thus my baby is up for sale.

I lurked more than contributed, but learned a lot of valuable insight from a lot of people in this forum when I was just starting out.  Just wanted to say thanks all!

Hi everyone

My name is Markus and I'm a GS-aholic. Besides riding my bike, I work as a wholesaler selling fish which is quite fun most of the time. When not at work, I like running (planning a half-marathon for next year). Some of you might already have noticed, that I live in the Black Forest area in SW Germany, about 15mins from France and another 45mins from Switzerland.
Just to clarify: unlike the Lederhosen guys you know from Bavaria, our folks here look more like this:icon_lol:

Bought my '95 GS on April, 2nd and have already added another 2000km / 1200miles to it so far. There are some major things, I'd like to modify. IE replacing the rear frame with an R6-model, fuel tank to GS500F and rear swinging fork to a Bandit 600 (Kult / GN77). Painting will be done with green-gold flip-flop paint.
I already replaceded the headlights & turn signals and moved the entire wiring under the fuel tank. Front forks are progressive, too.

So this is my baby.

Hi all,

My name is April and I am in Bonnieville, Kentucky, USA. I am on my second GS500E; my first was a 94 that I bought new and had for many years before deciding to sell it. But then I really missed it recently, so I went out and bought a 1993  :D It's ot as nice as my other one was, but it was a lot cheaper,
I love the GS500E, it is the perfect bike for me. Although, recently I have been tempted by some really gorgeous SV650's........ ;)

Hello all, my name is Jim, I live in Rye, East Sussex right dooooooooooown on the South Coast of the UK. I'm a 42 yr old full time Fire - fighter and a member of Kent Fire and Rescue Fire Bike Team. I ride an 08 Suzuki SV 650 Sport and have just picked up a GS500 '97 in pretty good condition but not running...............yet!I think I'm going to be needing some on-line help to get it going, hence joining this forum, there's seems to be a lot of knowledge on here! I have had a licence for 19 years and worked as a Bike Instructor prior to joining the FRS and most of the school bikes the students used were GS s so I know how good they are.  Look forward to chatting with you.

Hello ALL,
I just bought my 1st GS500. I just moved to NorCali from Waterloo, Ontario (Canada) and was looking for a bike here when the GS dropped into my lap.. She need a bit of work.. mainly carbs and cosmetic.
My canadian ride is an 1983 yamaha Vision which I tricked out as a touring rig and rode 3/4 of the way across Canada in the summer of 2010.
