Janx101

Bloody touchscreen! .. went for p and hit post...

... please tell me you washed that burger down with Diet soft drink EJ!? ... well known that diet drink negates any evil in fast food! Lol

And. . A health nut?!?!? .   Nooooo, I am really passionate about accepting whatever task of the day at work though!.. full weeks pay means no street corner dot hocking!  Bahahaha

Remember, I'm a Yank and your speaking Aussie up there.
So yeah... I'm not sure what you just told me but it sounds like a good program.

PeteGS, perhaps you could translate into simple Yank-English before he gets back on-line tomorrow.
Heh-

's true, and google translate doesn't even have Australian!   :cookoo:
I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

Janx101

Eh?.. the dot hocking? ... oh.. sometimes when the budget is tight at home the missus jokes that I should get down the corner as a male prostitute ;) ... hock/sell my 'dot'/ass! ... I usually claim her sister (who 'we' don't talk to anymore!!) has taken my prime corner spot and it's too hard to get clients! ... it's our inside joke ;)

peteGS

There is no Aussie translator... we talk proper language here  :thumb:

Sad days here unfortunately... we had to say good bye to our oldest kitty Tuesday afternoon, my wife helped deliver her nearly 20 years ago. We've managed her failing kidneys for the last couple of years but her heart failed her in the end.

RIP Smudge the Wonder Kitty.

20 years??  :icon_eek: I'll set aside the who speaks the one true way (it's us) debate for a moment in memory of that cat. Sorry for your loss, mate. (is this the correct application of "mate"? I shall add it to my upcoming software if so)

Schmicko Pete! ... you lovin the trumpet song?

A deceased cat? Oh Dear! I have been away much too long.

My Mom's cat lived 18+ years.
She is long-gone now... Heh, and so is Mom. :whisper:

That's a good age EJ!! Our next oldest turns 18 on Halloween this year... that's old enough to vote here!

I'm lovin' the trumpet song, sounds great getting that throttle cracked! However she got a little overheated yesterday and I had to pull over for a bit...

White and crusty anyone?

Seems the 62.5 mid mains weren't the whole answer despite the fact she felt a whole lot better with them in. Needles were raised one notch last night so we shall see...

I'm pretty sure it's the needle where she's lean as most of the riding when she overheated was 1/2 to 3/4 throttle tops.

Overheating?
Plugs looks light in color but still has some fluffy white deposits?
If stoichiometric ratio is proper, then perhaps a former owner altered the ignition timing?  :dunno_black:

Have a pic your your cat? (I mean when she was still alive & healthy of course).

Actually it's a mix of 14.7 parts vodka to 1 part rocket fuel.  :whisper:

... eh chaps! .  Seeing as we are all Men of the World. . Down here in the swamp! .. graveyard shift radio bloke had a question for 'all the insomniacs out there'.. "what is the origin of the word Gig as used by bands for a event?" .. it's in the dictionary but only says early 20th century usage. ?

So anyone have more info? ..

I suggested that there was a manager with a cold and stuffy nose who told a band he had a boogig (booking) for them, being ratbag muso's they hassled him about it and always asked if they had another boogig? .. eventually shortened to gig as that was the error ;) ....

Radio bloke was amused but asked for other interpretations. . So. .... what we got? :thumb:
