Dull Oil drain nut

Hi guys.
I found out I cannot unscrew the oil removal screw in the bottom of the engine, I probably messed it up the last time I have changed my oil and it's corners are dull.

I cannot reach it cleanly with a pipe wrench or any wrench for that matter because of the fins surrounding it and a socket just slips and makes it even worse.

I cannot easily move the bike to a shop since it is not in a tip top shape.

Do you have any idea other than make a cut with an angle grinder and try to spin it with a hammer and a sizzle?

Thank you

dude, like a boss!

Thank you so much!

I need to hunt down another bolt though, I measured the head at 17mm and the body at 13.6mm hopefully I'll be able to find one quickly

Is this one a standard size? will I be able to find it in the common hardware store?

If you can't find a compatible bolt at a hardware store, the drain plug bolt can be ordered from Partzilla or Bikebandit for like 3 dollars.

Junkyards are a good source. Its common for a lot of bikes.

You can also replace it with one that has a reusable copper washer and a magnet.  According to suzuki, the  stock crush washers should be replaced every oil change.

If the bolt extractor doesn't work, that bolt has a lot of meat to accommodate cuttin a slot for a flat head screwdriver. The bolt shouldn't need much force to come out.

If you live where there is a proper bolt shop you should be able to get something.
My suggestion is to get a short Allenbolt of the right thread right to the underneath of the head. You WILL almost certainly have to cut it down to length. Get a stainless washer as well and either put a copper washer underneath ( auto store will have generic ones) or make throw away gasket material ones. Use liquid non hardening gasket goo on the thgreads and clean them every time.
I am assuming you can get to the underneath from the photos so you can use a allen. If not , same thing with a standard hex head. You mat even be able to go stainless

Those Irwin bolt remover gizmos are amazing!

Look for a new drain bolt in an auto store such as advance auto.  They  should have something which will work "OK"...match up the thread size and pitch, get similar head and washer.  ...will get you back on the road fast....but I'd order an OEM bolt with crush washer  (order a bunch of crush washers for future oil changes)  from one of the major supply houses Online...I like SHS powersports for OEM parts
