I can't seem to use the "quote" feature.
I get this error in every browser. IE, Firefox, Google Chrome

An Error Has Occurred!
Unable to load the 'quotefast' template.
Back

Running Windows Vista if that matters..

Any ideas?

I can use just regular quote, but when I try to add quote within a quote then I get exact same error.
It's little annoying but since the membership here is free I won't complain too much  ;) ;) ;)

Just a heads up, the site is not displaying correctly in Opera for 64 bit linux. I'm not sure where the problem lies.  The 'search' ' home' and 'help' fields/buttons appear in the upper right portion of the page next to the table containing the user info.

TheGoodGuy

thanks guys, i see some new problems cropping up. I think I know where the problem is.. however I will have to plan ahead for it, it will take about 12 hours to fix it. Its a problem with the template / language files.

As for Opera 64 displaying it wrong, i'll look into it.

Just to be clear I meant the forum...not the wiki  :icon_mrgreen:

I think you guys have done a great job getting the forum running this well!! Grats!

Now, onto my ONE AND ONLY complaint.

Is there any way to make it so that after you post a NEW THREAD you don't go back to the FOURM index (meaning the main forum... I.E. General GS500 Discussion).

Instead, is there a way to make it so when you post a NEW THREAD and hit POST you go directly TO that thread on the most recent post (I.E. The one you just posted).

I'm pretty sure when you click on MODIFY, edit your post, and SAVE you go right back to your post in the thread... so why not do that for the initial post? It's kind of a pain if you want to re-read what you just wrote having to go back through the index to get to it...

Know that I mean? :) Thanks for the consideration guys!!!

if I click them mark as read read button, it tells me there was a session problem and to log out/in adn try again.  Still does the same thing after doing so, even closing the broswer and using new one

The "Mark Read" feature doesn't work for me and I continally get this error message.

"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

I've tried logging out and then go back into the forums, but that didn't clear the issue.

same problem here.
IE and Firefox gives the same error  :dunno_white:

The Mark read button always tells me the session verification failed. I'm using firefox if it matters. I did the logout login thing but that didn't fix it.

Thanks

Hello all.
I know it's an old post but I'm experiencing this exact same problem, too.
Current browser: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11.
Also tried on MS Internet Explorer 6.0 (even from a different PC), but to no avail.

Forgot to report lately, sorry. Seems to be alright now. :icon_mrgreen:

So was there a fix for this? It's been the same for me since I've joined, tried several PCs, OSs and browsers but none work.

I used to get that error, until I changed the Look and Layout preferences to "SMF default theme".

Yep, this works. Also fixes the new post button so it actually goes to the new post. Thanks

Some testing shows all but the default BlackTech profile works

Yeah, so do I. It's also the profile most people are using and the default for the forum so it would be good to have it working properly. Hopefully knowing it's a profile specific thing will make it easier for the appropriate people to fix.

I've been having problems when replying to posts. If the message is long (i.e. if I need to scroll down), the reply screen jumps around and doesn't let me view the portion that I am currently writing. I have to write the reply in Notepad and then paste it in.  :cookoo:

I recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 8. Perhaps it is a compatibility issue?

I think there's something up with search - perhaps some background indexing task isn't happening?

I was just going to report I have had no problems and I think this site is well run and cared for. Great Job Administrators!

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, I just tried a test and the problem still exists   Same problem, the screen keeps jumping up from the line I am currently typing on.
