Hey, 21 year old guy in SoCal here. I'm looking for a GS500 to learn on, as I plan on using a bike as my only wheels for a while. Just sold my car, so I gotta find a bike soon!

Hi Everyone!
I'm a newbie to the board and to riding.   Just picked up my GS500F Black/red/silver paint (2005) today.   Can you say happy happy?! :)  Anyhow, I'm a lady from Mission Viejo (South Orange County) California.  I'm 31, work for IBM as a computer engineer....   I'm a tall red head, with very long curly hair.   I got my motorcycle license about 1 month ago and found the right price for the GS500F.   Oh and I'm engaged.   Safe riding and good times to all!

thats my dad's 94 ultra classic it has close to 100hp all motor.  He has a second harley...89 tour glide which is the reason I got this bike to get better at riding and eventually move up to the big bike (or not i may just stick to the GS, im having so much fun right now it really doesnt matter)  But i would rather have a 400 lb rocket to learn on then a 800 lb beast.

Hello all.
I am glad to say that I have just purchased an '06 gs500f (blue) as of this past weekend and will be picking it up within a few days.

The motorcycle bug bit me a few months ago, but I held off on buying a bike until I was able to get into and take the MSF course.  I've now put a downpayment on the bike and purchased my riding gear and insurance, so it's just a matter of cleaning up some space in the garage and bringing the bike home.   :thumb:

I'm a 26 yr-old male, living just outside of Scranton, PA.

I've been lurking for the past couple weeks while I was finishing up my course and preparing to get my bike, but I felt it time to say hello.  I'll post a pic up later this week when the bike's home.

thanks.

Rode my baby home today after work.
Loved every second of it.

Time to go practice the basics at a nearby parking lot.
The ride home was great, but a little (or a lot) of practice will certainly make riding it more enjoyable and comfortable.
