Hey, all!

My name is Shawn and I'm new to the world of motorized two-wheeled transportation. I now own a new 2005 GS500F that apparently sat in a crate in a warehouse until about two weeks before i bought it. Brand new with a warranty and nearly a grand under list--i'm not going to argue with that.

Though winter is approaching (with a near-blizzard forecast for tomorrow), I look forward to doing some riding this winter. Here in Colorado, there are usually two weekends a month during the winter where it's warm enough to ride a bike without freezing one's buns off. Gravel is always a problem, so we'll see how it goes.

Colorado's mountain roads are great drives in a cage and fantastic while pedaling (Except for the steep hills), so I really look forward to cruising the twisties on the new GS.

Hey all, I'm Will from sf bay area in Ca. I bought a 96 gs500e, my first bike, about three months ago. And have been loving it. Also love this site as well very useful. Had done about 3 mods from the mods page and a head gasket change so far with this site's help.

I'm Daniel, live WAY south in New Mexico. (less than an hour from the US/Mexico border) Have a 89 GS that is quite torn up from an accident resulting from an SUV and merging over. If anyone has parts I'd probably be interested. I may need side plastics, fork damage is pending. I am in need of gauges, etc. Love my GS and need to clean carbs to get it running again after it sitting for so long. I am engaged to a beautiful girl who introduced me to motorcycling and not it's in my blood.

25 yo Graphic Artist/Signmaker/Vinyl Graffix artist.

Great to be a part of the GS family.

I'm a new member!  Welcome me!  After reading through all these and being so entertained, I figured I should post up here to quell the rumors about me.  Never mind that it's 2 years late...

My name is Sanjay, Indian, 22 yr old mechanical engineering grad student, born in Atlanta, also lived in Baton Rouge, Dallas, and now Bay Area.  Have my '92 GS with the classic faded red paint, silver graphics, and oil leaks.  Probably will be getting a newer GS or SV in a few months or so.

My name is Ben and I live in Sydney Australia. I own a 2006 Black Suzuki SV1000S but I have been helping one of my colleagues with his recently purchased 2005 GS500 (Faired).

I have made some recent posts in relation to the installation of LED blinkers on his bike and the problems that I had with that.

I really really really like GS500s. I kind of wish that I had one as my first bike 12 years ago rather than my 1982 CB250N. The suzuki is testament to a good simple design that has stood the test of time for years. They are easy to work on and by all accounts very reliable and comfortable. They really are the ultimate commuter and I wouldnt mind having one commute to work on rather than my SV1000S which is a good bike but a little uncomfortable and a fuel guzzler by comparison

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

gsbarry

Names Barry as stated in my name. Im a 21 year old hot shot. I do wheelies on anything with two wheels and sometimes things with 4 wheels. Ive been riding dirtbikes and racing motocross since i was 8. Ive had tons of dirtbikes and have a good experience working on them. My pops has had a street bike for years. He was once a dreaded "red rider" but has recently switched over from the dark side and rides a 1977 Suzuki GS750. He obviously inspired me cause i bought an 03' GS500E (Canadian Made  ;)). This is my first street bike, but dont worry i go slow when im supposed to and i wear all my proper gear no matter where i am or what im doing..... I think that proper gear is first priority and will state it whenever i can. Im a hotshot not an idiot.

Ive been lurking around this site for sometime now, just dont post alot but im trying to more and more. This site is great and I certainly appreciate what everyone brings to the computer screen. This site is awesome and i recommend it whenever i see another GS rider.

Im from Ontario, Canada and try to ride most of the year. No ice or snow then away we go.

My name is Matt,I'm 32 and I live in Springhill,FL and just got a 2000 gs500...So far it seems like a really good bike,I got it with 4500 miles on it so it was in pretty good condition. Only difficulty I've ran into is it doesn't have a fairing so the wind is a bit rough at times...If anyone in gs world knows where I can pick one up in my area that would be awesome. I look forward to putting some miles on it...Looking for anyone who wants to get together and ride.  :2guns:
