waiting til orthos office opens before doing anything. that way they can have records of the procedures up. ( that and i dont want to repeat myself to them. will get a copy of any imaging done today. the photo NSFW lol.  ct scan if they do one   would be interesting. anyhoo its 8:09 EST for some reason have no energy so going to take a catnap for an hour and a half. will then get this ball rolling. updates to follow.

well the wound freaked the nurse out. she said the antibiotics wouldnt touch it got a feeling ill be here a while. time to postwhore   lmao

Now im scared. theyre admitting me. drew alot of blood. stab lab left after 5 mins.

took cast off. blade from cast saw nicked me and cannot get my glucose level to go qbove 48  :S theyre still figuring out whats next. lost some weight tho. back to lowish 130s. will update.

good GOD histamine reaction from the morphine lol :"( left arm itchin and right leg. im a mess :"( a few days of this i may be able to look fwd to coming home maybe mid week.

day 1 is complete .

day 2 begins. morphine headache . and more antibiotics. but today i transfer upstairs to continue this..

they stopped my pain meds and anti clotting meds and blood thinners because  my bp was low last night.
90/48.    bored like hell. wished theyd let me go outside. ive got my wheelchair with me. fresh air would be perfect right now.

My dad had an episode in March and got a pacemaker fitted. I finally got home to see him a few weeks after - he was down to about 150. He was about 180 most of my life, 165-70 recently.

It was the first time I'd ever seen him look...helpless.

dealing with mild sepsis infection here. bodys fighting that stressing my organs., in turn causing my diabetes to go haywire. bp up and down bs up and down. goin nuts here, waiting to get me off the iv pole so i can be allowed to go outside with wheelchair. since im non weight bearing on right foot cant walk. since bp is unstable they stopped my pain meds. baah :"( bored

p.s. cwj i know the feeling of seeing loved ones after incidences like this. its a whoa feeling.

finally got back on pain meds yay .
found out that both vancomycin and piperacillin/tazo when used together have a nasty potential side effect. of acute kidney damage. (+-50%) im closing on day four of this regimen. orders through tomorrow

:-/   He's also managing diabetes...he had been doing a pretty good job of that (the reason for the initial weight loss). During the past year he'd been feeling progressively worse. The PM was expected, but the "episode" pushed up the date. He has been feeling progressively better since getting it, though. It did scare him for a while though.

The worse thing I've personally dealt with is a torn ACL.....stay off those legs and do the rehab when it's time. 

i know only on it when transitioning to wheelchair or going to bathroom. this hosp bed is COMFY lol. am i weird when i say im looking forward to physical therapy? ive lost 30% of my physical size. looking forward to gaining this back.

Not weird - take all the PT you can get. I probably should have done more, only 30 days on company HMO.

It is scary seeing the weight loss. It felt like it took two years to get back the size in my leg that took two weeks to melt away.

Makes you appreciate work, though.

am fighting to keep kidneys going atm. theyre testing blood daily.  the combo of antibiotics is somewhat toxic to kidneys 50% of the time. im trying to get out early lol. last time i went through arf. ( acute renal failure) in 2007 i was in hospital for 2 weeks. on an annoying note, there must have been fifteen babies born here today. every time they play twinkle twinkle little star on the pa system
